Soccer: OHS girls roll to pair of victories
Comments 0 | Recommend 0WICHITA FALLS Ten different players scored goals Friday as Odessa High School’s girls soccer team won a pair of routs in the United Invitational.
The Lady Bronchos (5-1-1) extended their winning streak to five games with a 7-0 victory against Mineral Wells and a 10-0 win against Wichita Falls Hirschi.
Against Mineral Wells, OHS got two goals each from Erica Bermea and Tiffany Barrera, one goal and one assist from Marina Escovedo, one goal each from Mariela Longoria and Gaby Valeriano and one assist each from Meg Morgan, Christian Whalen and Rachel Ramos.
In the victory against Hirschi, Escovedo had two goals and one assist, Ali Morgan had two goals while Bermea and Meg Morgan both had one goal and two assists.
Additionally for OHS, Jennifer Cedillos, Brandy Morales and Whalen all scored one goal with Barrera had one goal and one assist.
Erika Marquez, a freshman goalkeeper, got shutouts in both contests.
The Lady Bronchos play Burkburnett at 11 a.m. today and will hope to advance to the championship game of the tournament’s Champions Division.
