Soccer: OHS girls win on road
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LUBBOCK Goalkeeper Meg Morgan stopped four of five shots in a shootout to help Odessa High beat Lubbock Coronado 2-1 in a non-district girls soccer match Monday.
Ali Morgan and Christian Whalen scored for OHS in the shootout. They were the first two shooters for the Lady Bronchos.
“All of the kids came out on fire,” OHS coach Jessie McCartney said. “It was a complete team effort.”
Tiffany Barrera scored off an assist from Ali Morgan to get OHS even at 1-1 in the second half. The Lady Bronchos trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Meg Morgan stopped 14 shots in regulation.
OHS (3-1-1) plays Argyle on Friday at a tournament in Wichita Falls.
