Tennis: Permian goes 2-2 in Abilene

ABILENE Permian High School went 2-2 Friday and Saturday in the Abilene ISD Team Tennis Tournament.

By virtue of beating Sweetwater 12-1 in the opening round and Midland Lee 10-1 in its third match, Permian finished fifth.

Amarillo High beat Permian 18-1 in the second round while Abilene Wylie beat Permian 10-9 in the fourth and final dual match for both teams.

Permian will begin District 3-5A action Saturday by playing at Abilene High, which won the Abilene ISD title.
